Currently Hold a Salesman License

• Existing broker who is not a
  manager/owner has NO new
  requirements
• New “broker management” license
  available 5/1/11
• Owner/manager who has a license
  on 4/30/11 has until 4/30/12 to:
  • Pass a proficiency exam or
  • Take 45 class hours of coursework and pass exam

Have until 4/30/12 to get a broker’s license

• Pass a proficiency exam or
• Take 30 class hours of education and pass an exam
• No new salesman license to be issued after 4/30/11

Managing Broker License:

• Must have a license (old broker or old salesman) 2 out of the last 3 years
• 165 pre-license hours (120 broker
  hours plus 45 hours of office
  management, supervision, admin
  issues; 15 of those 45 hours must be situational offerings in an interactive setting
• 24 hours of CE (12 hours on broker
  management)

Never had a license before:

• 90 classroom hours including 15 class hours on situational offerings in a classroom or interactive setting
• 30 class hours of POST education within first renewal period
• 12 hours of CE each renewal period except first renewal period
