Obtaining your Brokers License
The requirement for obtaining a Real Estate License in Illinois is to successfully complete a 90 hour pre-license broker course and pass an examination administered by AMP testing services. Upon passing the AMP examination, a candidate may obtain a broker's license but must have a sponsoring managing broker.
Once licensed, a licensee with a broker's license must renew that license prior to April 30th every even numbered year. Before renewing for the first time, a licensee must complete a 30 hour Broker Post Education course. No other continuing education will be required. In subsequent years, 12 hours of continuing education will be required prior to renewal each renewal period.
